Terms of use

This Sotto server is run by Sotto ("the operator"). Contact: contact@sottocall.com · Support: support@sottocall.com · Live Support: Sotto Live Call Center.

By using this server to make or receive calls, you agree to these terms.

Not for emergencies

Sotto cannot call emergency services. In an emergency, use a phone to call your local emergency number.

The service

This server connects Sotto apps and browsers so they can call each other, end to end encrypted. It is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it is always available or free of faults. The operator may change or stop it.

Acceptable use

Don't use this server to break the law, to harass, threaten or deceive anyone, to send calls or messages to people who don't want them, or to overload or attack the server. The operator may block devices or network addresses that do, and the server limits connections and messages automatically.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use Sotto. If you use it for your work (for example with clients or patients), you remain responsible for your professional duties, such as confidentiality and consent, and for your own devices: keep them locked and up to date, and keep backups of what you can't lose. Sotto can't recover an identity or data that only existed on a lost device.

Privacy

How information is handled is described in the privacy policy.

Software

Sotto is open-source software under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later. Its source code is public.

Liability

As far as the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses caused by calls that fail, drop or are delayed, or by the server being unavailable.

Changes

The operator may update these terms; the current version is always at this address.
